Billy Revis

Billy Revis and his 1999 BMW E46 racer will again carry the EMP Stewart Components banner into competition in the SPEED World Challenge Touring Car Series in 2006.

Revis’ potent ‘Bimmer’ is a rolling test lab for EMP Stewart Components as the car is outfitted with the new EMP Stewart Components BMW High Performance Water Pump and the Stewart Components Advanced Electronic Control System – a control valve that regulates engine temperatures by replacing a car engine’s conventional thermostat.

Revis, 53, is a long-time BMW club racer who joined the Sports Car Club of America professional ranks in 2005.

Working out of his Motorsport Connections shop in suburban Winston-Salem, NC – a noted area BMW repair and racecar construction shop - Revis rescued his own 1999 BMW from the junkyard before turning it into a road race rocket.

Each of Revis’ 2006 SPEED World Challenge events is restricted to 50 minutes – perfect for the one-hour time slot the events are gridded into on The SPEED Channel.

Mike Beauchamp

Mike Beauchamp posted a solid 2005 TRO Manufacturing Area 5 Regional Formula Continental season culminating with a 15th-place finish in the SCCA National Championships at Mid-Ohio Race Course.

Beauchamp’s EMP Stewart Components/EMP OilMate sponsored Van Diemen RF01 will compete again this season in events at Blackhawk Farms, Road America, Mid-Ohio, Memphis Motorsports Park and Heartland Park Topeka – all in hopes of bettering a trio of runner-up and six Top-10 finishes from a year ago.

The Green Bay, WI driver got his first taste of winning when he captured the FC- SCCA Milwaukee Region Championship in 2000.

Beauchamp’s Formula Continental SCCA racer features an Elite Engines Ford 2.0 liter powerplant and is shod with Hoosier tires.

Beauchamp is 36 years old and has been racing for 12 years.

Max Angelli and Wayne Taylor

Max “The Ax” Angelelli and Wayne Taylor had a dream season rolling to the championship of the Grand American Rolex Daytona Prototype Sports Car in 2005.

Powered by a CRD Pontiac racing engine outfitted with an EMP Stewart Components GM Pro Series Water Pump, the team got the season off on the right foot winning overall title in the Rolex 24 at Daytona International Speedway in February.

Angelelli and Taylor finished the season winning a division-high five races and captured the Daytona Prototype championship by 34 points (439-405) over Luis Diaz and Scott Pruett.

In addition to the Rolex 24 win, the pair also won races at Homestead-Miami Speedway, Barber Motorsports Park and both the CompUSA 200 and Crown Royal 250 at Watkins Glen International.

Even more impressive may be the fact that team completed every lap contested in 2005, a testament to CRD’s engine and the reliability of the EMP Stewart Components GM Pro Series Water Pump.

Angelelli and Taylor will return in the No. 10 Suntrust Pontiac Riley for the 2006 Grand American Prototype schedule of events.
